5/26/2019 0 Comments Thunderbird For Mac ReviewsBy Ava Baba I love it for 1 simple reason, - I trust it, I use firefox as well and I believe they won't use my personal information anyhow in Thunderbird (I wont get any unwanted spam adverts and they wont steal my logins etc. It's free and it's reliable and trustful). I hate to give it rating of 5 (It's 10 really), but otherwise nobody will ever read the negative review below. I have no chance to leave feed back in any other way so I found this site. It's 2018 now, right? Why I need to download things like 'Keep in taskbar' (from year 2011) or 'Minimize to tray' or 'Unread Badge'? IT IS BASIC FUNCTIONALITY, why the hell anyone in the world would want to have thunderbird in active tasks of taskbar when you close it??? When you close it it should just minimize to tray, or I'm too stupid? See more reviews for Thunderbird. As of July 2012, Thunderbird has transitioned to a new governance model, with new features being developed by the broader free software and open source community, and security fixes and improvements handled by Mozilla. Mozilla's Thunderbird shows just how hard it is for any email client software to meet both those. Review This SoftwareTry It Now. Windows Mac Linux. Why not just make life of 00000 people simple and make it available in settings, or is it THAT HARD? Why need addon for things like this? Ok, there are add-ons, but today I updated thunderbird to new 60.3.3 version! Fantastic right? Add-ons now incompatible, I expect a person from 2011 should come now and update it!? I already installed the add-on from GOD knows LOST and insecure place on web to make a BASIC feature like MINIMIZE TO TRAY to work. Now I downgraded to 58.0.2, my addons work, I disabled new updates. Reviewed on December 11, 2018 •. By Anonymous Has everything you need, easy to use and easy to set up. I own a copy of Outlook (2007) but finally gave up on it after spending way too much time trying to make its reminders appear on time and then make themselves known to me. Given a Search function that combines complication with suspect functionality, it was time for a change. Thunderbird is a fast, responsive program that will find an email quickly and also allow you to bring multiple email inboxes into one place - easily. I have an IMAP account and a Hotmail account. A Google Calendar handles my scheduling, right on time, all the time, to phone and PC. Mission impossible 6 english subtitles. I access that direct from Thunderbird with one click (a free add-on). There is also an integrated calendar add-on and although I don't choose to use it there are many who do. Pros: Free, fast, easy set-up, works intuitively. Cons: Occasional over-keen revisions aren't always QA'ed properly. Avoid the automatic updating and just keep what works. Reviewed on April 2, 2012 •. By Anonymous The Best Free Outlook Alternative. If you want an Outlook alternative that is as customizable to your needs as humanly possible then Thunderbird is a perfect fit for you. Not only will it automatically set up your email account for you, but notifications come in automatically and you can avoid a lot of ads simply by installing Adblock Plus. So you don't have to have annoying ads to get in the way. You can also use Lightning install which is a calendar add-on as well as your favorite theme to make it's appearance to your liking. Now the bad news is to me the new Thunderbird is worse and more confusing than Thunderbird 2.0 and below. Not as many add-ons or themes are compatible with 3.1 as they were in previous versions and the different folders and categories on the side panel makes it more confusing and not as pleasant to look at. That all said, Thunderbird 3.1 is still the best of the other Outlook alternatives for it's simplicity and customizability. Pros: Customizable. Automatically Sets Up Accounts. IMAP Access Added. Small File Size. Cons: Less Add-ons And Themes Are Compatible. Side Panel Looks More Cluttered. No Default Way To Minimize To System Tray. More Complex Than Previous Versions. Setting Up Accounts Takes Longer Than Previous Versions reviewed on July 11, 2010 •. Thunderbird 60, the newest stable release of everyone’s favorite desktop Email client, has been released.
